  • Oversee the overall performance and leadership of the Field Finance Operations team, ensuring effective coordination and supervision across all branches.
  • Take ownership of reviewing, maintaining, and updating policies and procedures governing field finance operations to ensure relevance and compliance.
  • Identify the areas of cost reductions and finance operational improvement.
  • Provides guidance and direction to field finance team.
  • Analyze areas of efficiencies for field finance staffs which will enable to reduce routine tasks, remove duplicates enabling them to be more efficient.
  • Oversee and monitor the implementation and operational effectiveness of the new Core Banking System (CBS) in relation to branch-level financial processes.
  • Supervise Employee saving accounts opening, deposit, withdrawal and agreement contracts process for HO.
  • Accountable for ensuring that all daily transactions across branches are accurately identified and submitted in accordance with financial reporting requirements in a timely manner.
  • Oversight of cost-related initiatives in field finance to support budgeting and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide management response for audit reports and implementation process according to action plan.
  • Coordinate with Admin Department /Operations Department for procurement process.
  • Responsible for activity teambuilding and creating a culture of honesty, professionalism, and openness.
  • Solve the field issues and response to queries of branch finance operations on timely manner.
  • Lead the implementation of fraud prevention measures and internal controls across branch finance operations, including staff training, and incident investigations.
  • Frequently travelling to branch offices and regional offices.
  • Carrying out any other duties as required in assigned areas.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
  • Strong background in leading and managing large, particularly in branch-based or field finance environments.

Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in field finance operations, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Mandatory experience in microfinance or banking sector, particularly in managing branch-level financial operations.
  • Proven experience in developing or updating policies and procedures, overseeing field audits, fraud prevention, and CBS/financial system implementation is highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to guide and develop remote and branch-based finance teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of accounting or core banking systems is an advantage.
  • Effective communication skills in both Myanmar and English (written and verbal); ability to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong coordination and planning skills, including the ability to work across departments (e.g., Admin, Operations, HR) and manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to upholding organizational values.
  • Experience in preparing audit responses and managing implementation of audit recommendations.

  • Flexible and solution-oriented, with the ability to respond promptly to field operational issues.
