Purpose of the role

           The role is critical in ensuring accurate system design, compliance with electrical standards, preparation of project documentation, and technical support from pre-sales to the project execution.

Job Descriptions:

1. Solar System Design & Engineering

• Perform detailed site surveys and feasibility studies to assess solar potential, shading, and load profiles
• Calculate the solar yields, ESS/battery capacity based on the customer requirements
• Use solar simulation and design software (e.g., Helioscope, PVsyst, AutoCAD) to create accurate system layouts and energy yield reports
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), selecting proper solar structure types, and system sizing calculations for EPC proposals and execution
• Design and update Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical schematics, and cable sizing to comply with electrical design standards
• Ensure integration with customer’s existing electrical systems (transformers, panels, gensets, grid, etc.) and provide recommendations

2. Pre-Sales Technical Support

• Collaborate with business development and pre-sales teams to provide technical proposals, drawings, and system performance estimates which include LCOE, IRR, and payback calculations
• Attend client meetings, clarify technical queries, and present engineering solutions confidently
• Assist in preparing RFP/RFQ responses with clear technical scope and compliance

3. Project Execution Support

• Provide technical oversight during installation to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards
• Perform quality checks on-site (mounting structures, wiring, inverter setup, grid interconnection)
• Conduct commissioning tests and prepare as-built documentation

4. Standards, Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all designs comply with electrical regulations and Myanmar EPC standards
• Prepare and review method statements and risk assessments for electrical works

5. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain accurate design records, drawings, and revision history.
• Monitor actual system performance against projections and recommend design optimizations.
• Stay updated with latest solar technologies, storage solutions, and hybrid systems to improve design quality

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in solar PV system design (C&I or utility scale)
• Proficient in PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, and electrical simulation tools
• Strong technical knowledge of inverters, protection systems, energy storage, and hybrid solar-diesel systems
• Skilled in preparing SLDs, BOQs, and detailed engineering documentation
• Good understanding of power quality, grid interconnection, and safety standards
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• PMP or solar-related certification and training is an advantage
