JOB DESCRIPTIONS Report to : Chief Creative Officer Summary : The Drafting Lead leads and manages full construction drawing package production, translating design intent into coordinated, buildable technical drawings. This role sets and enforces drawing standards, oversees quality control (QA/QC), and guides junior drafters while supporting technical problem-solving through to construction. Primary Responsibilities Drawing Package Production & Technical Detailing Lead and manage full construction drawing package production. Translate design intent into coordinated, buildable technical drawings. Set and enforce drawing standards, templates, and quality control. Provide technical detailing and buildability solutions. Manage revision control system and documentation tracking. Prepare final verified as-built drawing packages. QA/QC Review & Technical Coordination Review all drawings before issue (QA/QC responsibility). Review all output from junior drafter before issue to design team, ensuring precision, annotation, and standard compliance. Identify missing details, technical gaps, overlooked details, and design inconsistencies. Refine technical aspects for construction readiness. Coordinate with senior designers, project managers, and external consultants. Support technical problem-solving during the construction phase. Team Guidance & Schedule Management Guide and assign tasks to junior drafters. Support drafters and guide them to comply with the project timeline. Maintain organized drawing records, packages, and project documentation. Core Deliverables Full construction drawing set (plans, sections, elevations, details). Coordinated drawing packages across all disciplines. Technical detailing and buildability solutions. Reviewed and approved drawing issues. As-built drawing package (final verified documentation).
