JOB SUMMARY The Network Operations Center Controller supports daily data center operations, with primary responsibility for monitoring facility systems and providing basic network monitoring support. The role includes observing equipment conditions, identifying alarms, performing approved initial checks, maintaining operational records, and promptly escalating issues to the relevant engineers. The Network Operations Center Controller assists engineers with inspections, maintenance coordination, and incident response, follows approved procedures and instructions, communicates clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. A willingness to learn new technologies and develop facility operations and networking knowledge is essential. JOB DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor facility systems, including cooling units, main electrical distribution boards, UPS systems, and fire alarm systems, and record equipment status and environmental readings. Conduct routine inspections using approved checklists, identify abnormal conditions, and report equipment faults. Assist engineers with inspections, preventive maintenance, and incident response, and record relevant equipment conditions. Follow site safety and emergency procedures, and perform operational actions only when appropriately trained and authorized. Monitor network device status, link availability, and service alarms, and perform approved basic connectivity checks. Assist engineers with network equipment installation, cable connections, maintenance, and configuration backups as assigned. Respond promptly to facility and network alarms, perform approved initial checks, and escalate unresolved issues according to established procedures. Maintain accurate logbooks, inspection records, and incident reports, and provide timely stakeholder updates and complete shift handovers. Coordinate with relevant teams to support service continuity and perform other related duties as assigned.
