We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and experienced school counselor responsible for providing a comprehensive school counseling program that is preventative in design, developmental in implementation, and supports students in the areas of academic achievement, individual growth, and personal and social development. The counselor also collaborates with educators, families, and community partners.
 

School Counselor – Key Responsibilities 

• Design and deliver a comprehensive school counseling program supporting students’ academic, personal, social, and career development
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address student needs and promote well-being
• Assess student needs using data (academic, behavior, attendance) and provide appropriate interventions or referrals
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and external partners to support student development and success
• Support curriculum planning and deliver guidance sessions on academic, career, and personal development topics
• Maintain confidential student records and interpret assessment results to guide student planning

Safeguarding & Student Protection

• Act as the first point of contact for child protection concerns and handle disclosures appropriately
• Follow safeguarding policies, respond to crises, and coordinate with relevant professionals when needed

Communication & Professional Duties

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and support plans
• Assist with school programs, student activities, and transition planning (e.g., moving to next grade level)
• Use data-driven approaches to identify student needs and improve counseling services

Summary

This role focuses on student well-being, counseling support, and safeguarding, ensuring students achieve their full academic and personal potential.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master’s degree preferred in school counseling and guidance.Other relevent education will be considered. 
• At least 2 years’ experience working with children.
• Demonstrate knowledge of curriculum development related to social emotional learning
• Strong communication skill
• Ability to navigate and problem solve unforeseen scenario.
