We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, and support management with reliable financial information.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring that accounting transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, documented, and reported in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting and tax requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and review daily accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and ensure proper classification of accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliations, cash reconciliations and account reconciliations.
• Monitor Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Review supporting documents such as invoices, payment vouchers, receipts and purchase documents before posting.
• Prepare and monitor cash flow reports and support management in cash planning.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate depreciation where applicable.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documents for internal and external audits.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax authorities, banks and other relevant external parties when required.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Myanmar accounting, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Support tax calculations, tax filings and preparation of required tax documentation.
• Review the work of junior accounting staff and provide guidance when necessary.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
• Assist management with cost analysis, profitability analysis and other financial information required for decision-making.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• LCCI Level 3, ACCA qualification/part qualification or other relevant professional accounting qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and bookkeeping procedures.
• Good understanding of Myanmar taxation and relevant statutory requirements.
• Experience in preparing financial statements, reconciliations and management reports.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Able to handle multiple accounting tasks accurately and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with other departments.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Experience in trading, distribution, agriculture, import/export or FMCG-related businesses will be an advantage.
