We are looking for an Accounting Executive (Accountant) position with one of the Consulting and Services companies in Myanmar.

 

This position will be based in Yangon, Myanmar, and report directly to the Operations Director.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular bookkeeping tasks, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Create, review, and issue invoices using accounting software
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure proper invoicing and payment processing.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries related to receipts, payments, and necessary adjustments
  • Monitor and report on accounts receivable and accounts payable on a daily and timely basis
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded and tracked appropriately
  • Track and analyze expense reports submitted by employees, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
  • Process and facilitate the timely reimbursement of employee expenses
  • Process and record all receipt and payment transactions
  • Assist in tax calculation and filing for both commercial taxes and PAYE.
  • Review and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual commercial tax returns.
  • Review and prepare monthly and annual PAYE schedules and assist in preparing tax returns.
  • Assist in performing bank reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure accuracy in the financial records.
  • Support in gathering necessary documentation and assisting in the preparation for internal and external audits.

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in accountancy or equivalent  
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the accounting field
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles, tax compliance, and bookkeeping practices.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Odoo, SQL, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Ability to track and analyze expense reports effectively.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
