Deputy General Counsel Job Description:

• Provide legal support and advice to upper management of Group of Companies on relevant legal issues; 
• Ensure and perform due diligence in the compliance with the internal controls, statutory regulations and other formalities;
• Calculate and handle risks in business process and decision making
• Amendment and Review the International Contract and Various Commercial Contract
• Execute procedures for protecting patents, trademarks, and industrial designs
• Keep up-to-date with the legislative developments and with regulations affection Group of Companies and provide advice on potential improvements on all relevant areas of laws where necessary;
• Provide technical direction in the negotiation and drafting of agreements, contracts, letters and memorandum of understandings;
• Undertake other duties as required.

1. University degree in Law (Master of Laws or equivalent is an asset);
2. A minimum of ten years relevant professional experience;
3. Possess an in-depth understanding of the International Contract and Various Commercial Contract;
4. Practical litigation experiences in the field of criminal, civil and arbitration;
5. A strong knowledge of business law namely: - investment, economic, commercial, taxation, real estate, banking and intellectual property related laws,
6. Proficiency in English and Myanmar required. (Especially Legal Terms)
