Production & Operations Management
Plan, organize, and manage the entire production process to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output targets.
Ensure efficient operation of distillation,fermentation (If any) blending, bottling, labeling, packaging, and warehousing units.
Monitor production KPIs (yield, production rate, wastage, downtime).
Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of raw materials, packaging items, and utilities. Implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize machine breakdown.
Lead weekly Factory Operations Review meetings.
Quality Control & Product Standards
Ensure strict compliance with product quality standards for all liquor categories.
Oversee laboratory testing for alcohol %, sensory quality, chemical parameters, and packaging integrity.
Work with the QA/QC team to resolve quality deviations and maintain documentation.
Implement FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, food safety and hygiene standards across the factory.
Approve final product release (Warehouse, Logistics) after quality checks.
Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
Ensure full compliance with government regulations for liquor production, licensing, excise, taxation, and record- keeping.
Maintain accurate excise records: raw material usage, alcohol yield, inventory, daily production logs.
Ensure safety compliance, environmental standards, fire safety protocols, waste management, and effluent treatment. Coordinate with regulatory bodies during inspections, audits, and renewals.
People Management & Leadership
Manage and supervise production teams, technicians, maintenance engineers and support workers.
Develop work schedules / duty rosters, conduct performance evaluations (KPIs), and assign responsibilities.
Train staff on production processes, safety protocols, quality standards, and machinery handling.
Build a positive working culture, ensure discipline, and resolve manpower issues.
Inventory & Cost Control
Monitor stock levels of raw materials, packaging, chemical ingredients, and finished goods.
Control production costs, wastage, and operational expenses.
Ensure proper storage, FIFO system, and accurate inventory reporting.
Work with the finance and procurement teams for budget planning and cost optimization.
Maintenance & Equipment Management
Ensure proper maintenance of distillation columns, boilers, chillers, pumps, bottling lines, mixers, and other machinery. Implement Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance and Track Performance of Plant Machinery and
Equipments.
Plan and implement the Scheduled Machinery Maintenance.
Minimize breakdowns, downtime, and production disruption.
Safety, Security, & Environmental Management
Enforce factory safety guidelines and conduct regular safety checking and training.
Ensure compliance with fire safety, chemical handling, hazardous material management.
Oversee fire safety systems, safety inspections, and emergency preparedness drills.
Oversee wastewater treatment and environmental compliance.
Implement theft prevention and security protocols for high-value goods like alcohol.
Implement tight security measures over Security Gates, Factory Compound, Tube Well, Construction Sites, etc.
Continuous Improvement & Strategic Initiatives
Improve production efficiency, yield, and cost per liter.
Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or 6S initiatives.
Optimize core processes, including distillation efficiency, production effectiveness, reduction of equipment
breakdowns, and other related operational improvements.
Introduce new technology and modern operational systems where applicable.
Administration
Oversee daily administrative functions within the factory premises.
Ensure proper management of office supplies, stationery, PPE items, and essential factory related consumables. Manage facility upkeep including cleanliness, utilities, sanitation, waste disposal, and factory environment.
Supervise support staff including admin clerks, cleaners, drivers, and security teams.
Ensure timely repair and maintenance of office buildings, staff quarters, and factory surroundings. Oversee security operations to prevent theft, product pilferage, and unauthorized access.
Ensure proper gate control: raw material in-flow, finished goods out-flow, visitor logs, vehicle checks. Coordinate with the Security Supervisor to enforce 24/7 security measures.
Review CCTV footage, security reports, and incident logs regularly.
Coordinate with maintenance team for building repairs, landscaping, and facility improvements. Manage government inspections, third-party audits, and other factory visits.
Oversee the management of hostel and dormitories, ensuring proper room arrangements, adequate bedding,
and well-maintained facilities.
Budgeting & Expense Claims, and Contract Management.
Manage and monitor the factory’s yearly/ monthly departmental budget.
Review and approve administrative expense claims, purchase requests, and 3rd Party Service Contracts.
Liaise with the Finance Manager (Manufacturing) on matters related to the Factory Budget, Expense Claims, and Accounts.
Transportation & Logistics Coordination
Manage factory vehicles, driver schedules, fuel usage, and maintenance through Admin Officer/Fleet In-Charge. Oversee employee transportation arrangements and Ferry routes.
Oversee stock movements (warehouse-to-production and production-to-warehouse)
Review daily warehouse and logistics reports and update them accurately using MS-365 Excel.
Management Reporting / Project Management
Provide comprehensive weekly and monthly factory reports to management, ensuring accurate statistics and clear, actionable insights. Ensure accurate and timely submission of factory operational reports:
Daily Production Reports Inventory Reports
Quality Deviation Reports Maintenance and Downtime records
Any additional tasks or responsibilities delegated by management.
Communicate key issues and updates to Head Office or Management.
