Objective

• Employers develop detailed plans that guide in the event of an accident, fire, natural disaster, or other emergency.
• To establish occupational safety, health, and environmental management systems for employers and employees that are compliant with local laws and regulations.
• To create a zero-accident workplace for everyone who works or visits the factory compound, including guests, and external providers                                                                                                                                                                            Position Overview: The Safety Officer (Supervisor Position) is responsible for supporting the organization in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with safety standards, company policies, and applicable regulations. The role involves proactive monitoring, education, reporting, and emergency response to prevent workplace hazards and promote a strong safety culture.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily observations of unsafe acts (UA), unsafe conditions (UC), and near-misses; record and report findings.
• Attend and support toolbox meetings.
• Conduct routine fire safety inspections of firefighting equipment and systems, as well as fire detection systems and devices.
• Perform routine safety inspections using checklists and monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) compliance.
• Assist in contractor safety management and ensure adherence to site safety requirements.
• Support safety awareness and training activities for employees.
• Assist in emergency response, incident reporting, and accident investigations.
• Carry out additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (diploma or certificate in Occupational Safety and Health is preferred.)
• Awareness of ISO 9001 and personal hygiene.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulations.
• Strong observation and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in preparing reports and maintaining records.
• Ability to work collaboratively with different departments.
• Quick response and problem-solving capabilities in emergencies
• Experience in Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment.
• Minimum 1-year experience in a similar position. (Factory background is preferred).
• Good knowledge of Myanmar HSE Laws and regulations.
• Problem-solving, and good communication skills
• Basic English in 4 skills
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Physically fit and able to withstand heat and physical exertion typical of a factory environment.
