Position Purpose
This position will play a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of brand strategies and communication initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Brand Manager in implementing comprehensive marketing campaigns that align with our company's brand identity and objectives. This role requires a strong combination of strategic thinking, project management skills, and a passion for storytelling through various communication channels.
Key Result Areas
- Implementing Communication Strategies: Implementing communication strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives. This involves understanding the target audience, identifying key messages, and selecting appropriate communication channels.
- Internal Communication Management: Facilitate effective communication within the organization. Ensure that important information is disseminated to all employees, promote a positive company culture, and keep employees informed about organizational changes and updates.
- External Communication and Public Relations: Manage external communication to enhance the organization's reputation and public image. Engage with media, stakeholders, and the public to build positive relationships and handle crisis communication when necessary.
- Content Creation and Management: Oversee the development of compelling and relevant content for various communication channels such as websites, social media, newsletters, and press releases. Ensure that the content is consistent with the organization's brand and messaging.
- Media Relations: Foster relationships with journalists, media outlets, and influencers to secure positive media coverage and manage media inquiries effectively.
- Digital and Social Media Management: Develop and execute a social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engagement, and reach. Monitor social media platforms, respond to comments and messages, and track the performance of social media campaigns.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment of communication efforts with broader organizational strategies.
- Crisis Communication Management: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to address potential reputational risks and manage communication during challenging situations.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Communication Planning:
- Support the development of integrated communication plans that effectively promote the brand and its products/services.
- Assist in creating compelling communication messages and content tailored to target audiences.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to execute communication campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, social media, events, and PR.
Content Development:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to generate engaging and persuasive content that reinforces the brand identity.
- Assist in producing high-quality written materials, including blog posts, articles, press releases, and marketing collateral.
Digital Marketing:
- Aid in managing the company's online presence, including social media platforms, website, and other digital channels.
- Monitor social media trends, track performance metrics, and propose recommendations for improvement.
Key Performance and Success Indicators
Brand Awareness:
- Increase in brand mentions and visibility across various media channels. Growth in the number of social media followers and subscribers.
- Improvement in brand sentiment analysis and perception among the target audience.
Media Reach:
- Earned media coverage (press mentions, features, interviews, etc.) in relevant media outlets.
- Monitoring media impressions and calculating the total reach of communication efforts.
- Engagement metrics such as bounce rate, click-through rate (CTR), and conversion rate.
- Downloads or views of key content pieces, such as whitepapers, infographics, or videos.
Social Media Performance:
- Engagement metrics on social media platforms, including likes, shares, comments, and retweets.
- Growth in the number of followers and reach of social media posts.
Public Relations (PR) Impact:
- Tracking media coverage and PR mentions in influential outlets.
- Evaluating the quality and tone of media coverage (positive, neutral, negative).
Key Stakeholders
This position will need to communicate with broad range of stakeholders.
External: Agencies, Yoma group of companies, Partners
Internal: Immediate team and reporting line, Product, Technology, Finance, Operations etc., to achieve the goals of Partners Program in the Digital Business.
