To monitor the credit robustness of the good lending book in Wholesale Banking, report deteriorating credit trends, and assist the Function Head in implementing measures to sustain the good book, and additionally assist the Function Head to evaluate work out/restructuring solutions for the recovery of the non-performing loans.

1. Establish, implement and monitor appropriate internal controls to ensure compliance with the Bank’s Credit Policies and processes and procedures.
2. Establish, implement and monitor appropriate internal controls to ensure compliance with the approved terms and conditions of the credit facilities granted.
3. Engage with the Relationship Managers in a proactive manner to alert them to early warning signals apparent or appearing in their account relationships.
4. Engage with the Relationship Managers in a proactive manner to restore early delinquent accounts to a satisfactory state of performance.
5. Provide periodical progress reports on delinquent loans in a timely manner.
6. Escalate deteriorating credit trends to the Head, Credit Function in a timely manner.
7. Prepare and submit reports pertaining to any credit risk matters as directed by the Head, Credit Function for action by relevant constituents in the Bank.
8. Assist the Head, Credit Function in evaluating and formulating recovery and restructuring strategies for early delinquent accounts [below 90 dpd] and non-performing loans.
9. Any other responsibilities as and when necessary and so directed by the Head, Credit Function.
10. Assess, analyse and interpret financial information for evaluating the creditworthiness of the lending relationship.
11. Interact with Legal and Compliance, Credit Administration, Branch Wholesale Operations and IT Function where necessary to achieve the desired outcome.
12. Assist the Supervisor in translating a variety of documents including those in Credit Files from Burmese to English language and vice versa.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies, Banking, Economics, Accounting or any related field.
• Good command of English and Burmese language.
• Prior experience in a multinational and culturally diverse environment is an added advantage
• At least two years in the role in banking/business in the private sector.
• Basic knowledge of credit risks and understanding the market forces in the operating environment that impinge on the business performance of a firm.
• Understanding the basic relationship between the financial statements and the cash flow generation ability of the business.
• Understanding the risks inherent in the lending products extended to the customer.
• Conversant with the different types of collateral and the protections methods of securing the Bank’s interest at all times.
• General understanding of the law relating to banking and insolvency.
