Position Purpose
The position purpose of the Event Manager is to plan, organize and manage various types of events that are aligned with Wave Money’s strategic agenda with the purpose to increase brand awareness customer engagement and positive brand sentiment.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Manage key functions for marketing events, including but not limited to managing logistics, contracts, vendors, promotion and communicating to internal & external audience, printed materials and technical aspects.
• Work with marketing and branding team on design for event promotional materials
• Manage event budgets, including accounts receivable and invoice submission.
• Provide reports and forecasts to management and finance
• Manage and update content on digital and online communication channels
• Work closely with Corporate Communications on PR strategy and execution for events.
• Manage and oversee on-site event team’s day-to-day responsibilities.
• Manage and monitor performance vs KPI
• Identify and explore new opportunities for collaborations with organizations, festivals and other event opportunities
• Liaise with Events Vendors to plan and execute strategic events
• Manage Sponsorship & Partnerships

Experience, Functional Skills and Knowledge Areas
• Qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• At least 8 years related working experience in Event Management and Marketing.
• Self-motivated, love challenges and able to work under a pressure environment.
• An experienced trainer who has a penchant to develop and train others, preferable from a telecommunication or related industry.
• Has good communication skills and comfortable to interact with all levels in the organization.
• Enjoy working in a team and a team player.
• Good command of English and Myanmar language (both spoken and written)
• Willing to travel within Myanmar Region to conduct training.
• Good interpersonal skills and able to handle interfaces with different functions
