Scope of the role:

Unique opportunity for a motivated and experienced banking professional with knowledge of financial markets to join AGD Bank’s growing Treasury & Financial Markets division. The candidate will be responsible to manage the growth of the Foreign Exchange business with specific focus to enhance the product suite and corporate sales capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Grow the FX business aggressively by developing a strong FX product suite
• Build and strengthen the FX corporate Sales team capabilities and establish a strong working collaboration with Corporate banking team to constantly identify opportunities
• Be adept in structuring mutually profitable FX deals for corporate customers
• Set daily FX dealing rates for the bank and Work closely with Head Treasury to take profitable positions in the markets within set limits
• Be responsible to manage bank’s FX position efficiently and minimising overnight risk
• Work to achieve set PNL targets for each of the FX products
• Strong grasp of local and global FX markets with ability to provide in-depth analysis and up to date commentary
• Guide bank’s top management on specific currency outlook and FX market as a whole

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics; CFA qualification would be good to have
• Prior experience of 5+ year in working in Treasury / Financial Markets / FX capacity
• Strong FX trading acumen along with Sales capabilities
• Good connects with local inter-bank trading teams and the ability to sense the market direction
• Confidence and good communication skills to deal with Treasury / CFO of corporations and offer solutions/ generate business
• Good understanding of the country’s trade flows and sharp observation of the regional/ global developments that impacts the FX market and to have the capability to derive bank’s strategy
• Strong analytical skills
• Highly Literate in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Myanmar language
• Entrepreneurial drive and spirit with a strong ability to plan and multitask
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
