Job Purpose:

To plan and perform procurement activities in Networks category (Category – Active Network) in order to serve business requirements and ensure cost effectiveness. The candidate for this position must be a driven self-starter, comfortable working with minimal supervision. The candidate must be capable of achieving organizational objectives and successfully interface with all management levels. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Works with management and stakeholders to plan and implement early procurement opportunities and activities in medium-high value strategic/tactical projects and to keep developing pipelines.
• Need to work closely with business controller, technology, planning and operation team for business case development.
• Develops project scope and articulation, and procurement plan; identifies project and spend opportunities to leverage Company volume.
• Locates, analyzes, develops and recommends preferred sources of supply to satisfy business requirements.
• Develops and issues RFx’s, evaluates bids, negotiates agreements with suppliers on medium-high risk/medium-high value projects using best procurement practices.
• As part of sourcing initiatives, collaborate with other support functions such as legal, security, compliance etc.
• Implements and executes procurement strategies in line with supply chain and company’s market needs.
• Execute and manage the contracts to maximize cost competitiveness and ensure supplier adheres to the service level as per the contract obligations.
• Manage the process for Business Partner Risk assessment to ensure compliance with the set criteria
• Gathers and interprets data; utilizing key procurement information, system technology, e-commerce, and systems to execute contracts and purchase orders, perform spend analysis, and generate reports.
• Works with Line Manager to establish savings targets, tracks, meets and reports savings in monthly reports and other department performance metrics.
• Solves difficult problems by using professional concepts aligned with company policies and procedures.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration/Economics/Engineering or Diploma in related area
• Proficient in use of MS Excel, performing data analyses and co-relation and able to produce and draw conclusions based on the analysis.

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of related experience in Telecommunications/Networks sourcing and contracting with progressively responsible assignments including project procurement.
•  Concrete technical background in Telecommunication (Core/RAN/Transport) is also preferred.
• Good level of negotiation skills and practices, price/cost analysis, contract formation and administration, project procurement, sourcing, distribution, and logistics processes 
• Ability to lead, manage, and influence in a cross-functional team environment with team spirit and agility work behavior.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Stakeholder management skills, managing upwards crucial skill set for this position.
• Demonstrate commitment, maturity, flexibility, and speed in response to business and challenges.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work under pressure, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. 
• Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully.
• Literacy in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Having knowledge and hands on experience in data analysis is an advantage.
