DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Being a part of a senior leadership role within risk division and collaborate with key stakeholders in first and second line to meaning uplift and support the bank’s strategic priorities
• Exposure and opportunity to work with Department Heads and Chiefs to recommend strategies to manage risk
• Ensure the Bank’s operational risk management is in line with the Enterprise Risk Management Policy and escalate should there be any breach or early warnings
• Take a coordinating and central role in resolving operational risk incidents across the bank and ensure adherence to the Incident Management SLA
• Prepare monthly operational risk report and present to the senior management on key trends and changes in risk indicators
• Report operational risk issues and decisions to senior management on regular basis
• Develop strong relationship with key stakeholders within the bank by addressing issues/concerns in timely manner
• Liaise with third party insurance brokers externally and key stakeholders internally for annual insurance renewal exercise
• Assist Head of Operational Risk to develop/review Operational Risk Appetite and KRIs on annual basis
• Improving enterprise wide risk awareness and culture via workshops, training and case studies.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Knowledge & Skills          

• Knowledge of financial markets in Myanmar, gained through practical experience
• Adequate knowledge of Myanmar local regulations
• Have high level of attention to details
• Have strong organizational skills and time management abilities
• Adapts easily to new environment and can work with a variety of people
• Strong communicator (both written and verbal) with ability to present to senior-most management in a clear and concise way
• Outstanding influencing/negotiation skills and ability to manage debate and conflict professionally, with grit and tenacity
• Excellent team worker, collaborating effectively across regional and global teams in sharing ideas, finding solutions and balancing team priorities
• Organized, with strong attention to detail &ability to effectively prioritize tasks
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Education & Special Training   

• Degree in one of the following fields: Business/Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, and/or any industry specific qualification

Desirable

• Bachelor Degree in Business or Finance
• Knowledge in data analysis and risk management

Experience

• At least 3-year experience in financial institutions
• Knowledge of banking and risk management within the bank

Languages

• Sound and effective interpersonal & communication skills
• Sound English skills
