Position Overview

Working as a sales associate in a bookstore is a dream come true for many people. People who love reading and books, in general, may find this work extremely satisfying.

Those who are not too interested in books may also find this work to be a joy. Typically, a person working as a bookstore associate makes sure that customers are provided with high-end services, in order to ensure repeat business opportunities.

Job Description

  • Assist customers with requests in store and on the phone
  • Follow instructions from seniors for sales and marketing activities
  • Weekly customers visit to book shop for merchandise as per instruction of the seniors
  • Keep an eye on inventory levels and restock shelves as needed of supplied book shops
  • Educate customers about current products and promotions
  • Processing book deliveries and returns
  • Processing customer orders and book reservations
  • Undertaking general housekeeping duties, such as unpacking, stock replenishment and tidying.
  • Work closely with seniors and other team members in achieving the target
  • Follow up and take care of both current clients and potential customers
  • Expand the market area as far as you can reach while maintaining a good relationship with client
