Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments to all employees. Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date financial records, reports, and accounting documentation. Record and update daily financial transactions in the accounting system in a timely and accurate manner. Manage and maintain the School’s fixed asset register, ensuring all assets are properly recorded and tracked. Assign and attach asset identification codes to newly acquired assets and conduct regular inspections to verify asset locations, movements, and conditions. Maintain updated records of all assets, equipment, supplies, and materials received by the School. Process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other supporting financial documents in accordance with established procedures. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including the preparation and verification of related documents. Reconcile bank statements, cash balances, and financial accounts regularly to ensure the accuracy of accounting records. Review, record, and reconcile the School’s daily income and expenditure transactions to maintain accurate financial reporting. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Monitor expenditures and budget utilization, and report any discrepancies or concerns to the Head of Finance. Maintain an organized filing system for all financial records and supporting documentation, ensuring confidentiality and ease of retrieval. Ensure compliance with the School’s accounting policies, financial procedures, internal controls, and applicable regulations. Provide administrative and accounting support to the Head of Finance, Chief Accountant, or School Management as required. Attend meetings as directed by the Chairperson or School Management, comply with all School policies, regulations, and instructions, and provide timely updates on assigned tasks and responsibilities. Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Head of Finance, Chief Accountant, or School Management from time to time.
