Job Summary:

The Accountant is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with inventory, sales, and expense reconciliation in line with FMCG operations.

The Accountant is also responsible for managing end-to-end accounting processes, financial reporting, internal controls, and ensuring accuracy in financial data across all FMCG operations including sales, distribution, and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and cash flow.

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Supervise junior accounting staff and review their work for accuracy.

• Manage inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and inventory reconciliation.

• Implement internal controls and improve accounting processes.

• Record day-to-day financial transactions (sales, purchases, expenses).

• Reconcile bank statements, supplier invoices, and customer payments.

• Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.

• Liaise with internal departments (sales, warehouse, procurement) for accurate data entry.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (LCCI/ACCA is an advantage).

• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.

• Strong knowledge of local tax laws, and accounting.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Odoo).

• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 1–3 years of accounting experience (FMCG experience is a plus).

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and taxation.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g.,Odoo).

• Good attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
