Responsibilities

• Perform physical and logical database administration functions as required for Application Services 

• Create shell scripts and SQL scripts for database administration 

• Work with across department and team (Application, Architects, QA, Data etc) to support DBA functions 

• Provide appropriate resources and skill sets to support the DBA functions for the Applications as required 

• Set up and maintain test and production databases 

• Document and implement changes to databases via proper Change Management methodology 

• Monitor and analyze database activity to proactively identify and prevent potential Incidents and also recommend performance improvements 

• Monitor and maintain database storage resources 

• Participate in situation management of incidents related to database operations 

• On-call requirements to ensure 24 x 7 support of database operations 

• Perform installations and upgrades of Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL 

• Manage database backups 

• Define maintenance plans 

• Configure replication 

• Setup disaster recovery 

Qualifications

• Bachelor of degree 

• Should be willing to learn new technologies and be a self-starter 

• Knowledge of Oracle Database 12c,19c, MySQL, PostgreSQL. 

• Interested in a career as a database administrator. 

• Highly self-motivated eager to learn and embrace new technologies 

• Prefer 1 year experience a database administrator
