Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of new business opportunities. This role is critical in driving the company’s growth strategy by conducting market research, financial feasibility analysis, and end-to-end project development—from concept to execution.
The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, financial modeling expertise, and the ability to translate insights into actionable business proposals and investment-ready presentations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Opportunity Identification & Research
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion strategies.
- Conduct in-depth market research, competitor benchmarking, and industry analysis.
- Assess trends, risks, and potential returns for new ventures.
2. Financial Analysis & Modelling
- Develop detailed financial models, including revenue projections, cost structures, and profitability analysis.
- Calculate key financial metrics such as break-even point, ROI, IRR, and payback period.
- Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to support decision-making.
3. Business Case Development
- Prepare comprehensive business proposals and feasibility studies.
- Develop investment papers and strategic recommendations for senior management.
- Ensure all proposals are data-driven, commercially viable, and aligned with company objectives.
4. Project Planning & Execution
- Lead and coordinate new business setup projects from initiation to execution.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Monitor project progress and ensure delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
5. Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with internal teams including finance, operations, legal, and strategy.
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as suppliers, partners, consultants, and investors.
- Arrange and participate in meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
6. Supplier & Partner Engagement
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and business partners.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships to support business growth.
7. Presentation & Reporting
- Prepare high-quality presentations for senior leadership and investment committees.
- Provide regular updates, insights, and recommendations based on data analysis.
