Job Summary

The Cashier is responsible for assisting customers with pharmaceutical and health & beauty product purchases while ensuring compliance with dispensing guidelines. This role combines cashiering duties with pharmacy support, requiring accuracy in transactions, proper handling of medicines, and excellent customer service.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Dispense medicines and health products in compliance with the pharmacist’s instructions and regulatory requirements.
• Provide customers with basic product information, usage guidance, and direct them to the licensed pharmacist for professional advice when necessary.
• Handle cashier duties, including processing sales transactions, managing cash, and operating POS systems.
• Ensure accuracy in billing, refunds, and product returns in accordance with company policy.
• Maintain proper records of pharmaceutical sales and controlled items as per regulations.
• Support store operations by assisting with stock checks, expiry control, and merchandising of health & beauty products.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier counter and dispensing area.
• Assist in resolving customer inquiries, complaints, or issues promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with store and warehouse teams for timely replenishment of medicines and cosmetic products.
• Support promotional activities, product displays, and customer engagement initiatives.

Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills & Knowledge)

• Graduated or related health sciences or licensed pharmacist or pharmacist assistant preferred.
• Minimum 1–2years of experience in retail pharmacy, cashiering, or customer service.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, skincare, cosmetics, and wellness items.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy in handling medicines and financial transactions.
• Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management, and basic computer applications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with flexible shifts.
