Job Title: General Manager Company: Bear Mart Location: Mawlamyine, Mon State Reports To: Co-Founders / Board of Directors

Position Summary: The General Manager is the senior executive responsible for the complete operational oversight of Bear Mart. This role bridges our Main Warehouse operations with our multi-branch retail outlets. The core objective is to ensure seamless supply chain logistics, enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), drive sales growth, and maintain operational excellence across all physical locations.

Core Responsibilities:

• Retail & Branch Management: Direct daily operations across all Bear Mart retail locations (Mawlamyine). Ensure exceptional store presentation, customer service standards, and strict adherence to company SOPs.

• Warehouse & Supply Chain Logistics: Govern the Main Warehouse operations. Oversee receiving, storage, fleet management, and dispatch to ensure retail branches are optimally stocked without over-leveraging inventory.

• Systems & Reporting: Act as the primary champion for the company’s Odoo ERP system. Monitor real-time data to forecast demand, prevent stockouts or shrinkage, and prepare detailed performance and financial reports for the Co-Founders.

• Team Leadership: Manage, train, and evaluate retail branch managers and warehouse supervisors. Set departmental goals and conduct regular performance reviews.

• Strategic Planning: Collaborate directly with the Owners to execute business expansion strategies, optimize current layouts, and increase overall profitability.

Education & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Retail Management, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus).

• Experience: 5 to 7+ years of senior management experience in the retail or FMCG sector.

• Multi-Location Expertise: Proven track record of successfully managing multiple retail branches simultaneously alongside a central distribution center or warehouse.

Hard Skills & Technical Knowledge:

• ERP Proficiency: Deep, hands-on experience with modern ERP systems. (Direct experience with Odoo ERP is highly preferred).

• Logistics & WMS: Strong understanding of Warehouse Management Systems, inventory turnover ratios, and supply chain logistics.

• Financial Acumen: Ability to read, analyze, and optimize Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and sales forecasting data.

• Leadership: Exceptional ability to command respect, resolve conflicts, and motivate a diverse team of warehouse staff and retail managers.

• Strategic Problem-Solving: Capable of making rapid, data-driven decisions during logistical bottlenecks or operational emergencies.

• Autonomy: Highly self-directed. Able to execute the founders' vision independently without requiring micro-management.

• Adaptability: Willingness to live and integrate into Mawlamyine, with a genuine commitment to building the local business ecosystem.
