The Mining Site Operations Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and supervision of all mining operations at the designated site. This role ensures that mining activities are conducted safely, efficiently, profitably, and in compliance with all relevant regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. The Manager leads a multidisciplinary team to achieve production targets, optimize operational costs, and promote a strong safety culture. 

Job Description: 

• Oversee daily mining operations, including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, crushing, and processing (if applicable). 
• Develop and implement operational plans, schedules, and budgets to meet production targets and cost objectives. 
• Monitor and analyze production data, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions. 
• Optimize equipment utilization, maintenance schedules, and resource allocation. 
• Implement best practices in mining techniques and operational efficiency. 
• Champion a robust safety culture, ensuring compliance with all company HSE policies, national, and international regulations. 
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, implementing corrective and preventive measures. 
• Ensure environmental protection and compliance with all environmental permits and regulations. 
• Manage labor relations effectively. 
• Contribute to long-term mine planning, including pit/underground design, waste management, and rehabilitation strategies. 
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, technological advancements, and cost reduction initiatives. 
• Prepare regular operational reports for senior management, detailing performance, challenges, and proposed solutions. 
• Represent the company in interactions with local communities, government authorities, and regulatory bodies as required. 
• Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers.

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. 
• Minimum of over 8-10 years of progressive experience in mining operations, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role at a mine site. 
• Proven track record of achieving production targets, managing budgets, and optimizing operational efficiency. 
• Experience with open-pit, underground, quarrying is highly desirable. 
• Experience with e.g., fleet management systems, mine planning software is an asset. 
• Relevant national mining certifications or licenses as required by local regulations. 
• Valid Driver's License. 

Working Conditions: 

• This role is primarily site-based, requiring regular presence in the mining area. 
• Exposure to various weather conditions, noise, dust, and heavy machinery. 
• Requires physical stamina and ability to work long hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. 
• May involve living in a camp environment.
