Job Summary

A Geophysicist studies the Earth's physical properties using scientific methods and advanced technologies to locate natural resources, assess geological hazards, and support engineering and environmental projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct geophysical surveys using seismic, magnetic, gravity, electrical, and electromagnetic methods.
• Collect, process, and interpret geophysical data.
• Analyze subsurface structures for oil, gas, minerals, groundwater, or geothermal resources.
• Prepare geological and geophysical maps, models, and reports.
• Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and environmental scientists.
• Operate and maintain geophysical equipment and software.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Present findings and recommendations to management and clients.
• Monitor project progress and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Stay updated with advances in geophysical technologies and methodologies.

• Bachelor's degree/ Master's degree in Geophysics, Geology, Earth Sciences, Physics, or a related field.
• 5+ years in geophysical exploration, research, or consulting.
• Knowledge of seismic, gravity, magnetic, and electrical survey techniques.
• Proficiency in geophysical software.
• Strong data interpretation and modeling skills.
• Familiarity with remote sensing and geospatial analysis.
• Competence in statistical and numerical analysis.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices.
