ROLE PURPOSE
The primary focus of this role is to support the business users by understanding business’s requirements and translating them into consumable information, insights and analytics. The role is also required to support other BI analyst and data scientist by providing ad hoc data.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Business/Data Analyst understand business process and define business requirements. This person implements business requirements and recommend generate reports and ad hoc reports for various business departments. This person will process and analyse data and information from data warehouse and produce conclusions to provide various business department for further decisions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Interview end users to determine requirement for data, reports, analysis
- Educate users on warehousing capabilities
- Analyse and document business information requirements
- Design training infrastructure
- Discover business transformation rules
- Work with production data to validate business requirements
- Map business needs/requirements to subject area model and to logical enterprise model
- Create state transformation models
- Discover dimension hierarchies
- Validate hierarchies with production data
- Define business rules for state detection
- Work with production data to design access structures
- Classify business users by type
- Define and get agreement with business users on service-level agreements
- Develop security rules/standards
- Create data results through techniques and tools such as basic queries, data mining and multidimensional analysis
- Develop necessary reports
- Develop decision support and EIS applications
- Develop Internet and intranet delivery applications
- Convert existing reporting applications to the environment
- Develop new periodic report applications
- Develop training materials
- Write users' guide
- Plan acceptance test
- Execute acceptance test plan
- Train BI users
- Implement support plan
- Assist users in finding the right information
- Interface with process teams regarding business process re engineering
- Ensure business processes are understood and provide data/KPIs/reports to fulfill the processes
- Define and capture metadata and rules associated with ETL processes
- Ensure all SLA’s are met by defining and managing data quality processes.
- Execute data profiling, reporting and exception monitoring.
- Execute ad hoc data query based on the business requirement.
- Extract and document metadata, data model from data sources.
- Ensure service levels, data quality, and performance of data warehouse.
- Work with data stewards to identify critical data elements and define data quality criteria and tolerance levels.
- Implement data cleansing, standardization, and matching processes.
- Update rest of the Department about Data Quality Health and act as POC for any data quality issues raised by external or internal teams.
- Estimate effort and timelines for analyzing, identifying and recommending solutions for data quality issues.
- Work with production data to monitor and report on data conditions and quality

Knowledge & Skills
Essential
- Advance knowledge of SQL and basic knowledge of shell scripting
- Have previous experience in data modelling and statistical modelling
- Have at least basic knowledge in Mathlab software or similar software
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and integrity.
- A high energy, self-motivated individual, who can collaborate with cross-functional teams with minimal supervision to deliver results.
- Able to execute and manage multiple initiatives and deliverable s simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Creative, analytical, problem solving and decision making abilities, which include the ability to make independent decisions, while knowing when to bring certain matters to
the attention of management.
- Excellent under pressure and can adapt quickly in an evolving environment.
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Possesses strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills and the capability to interact with all levels of staff and with external vendors
- Flexible and available for a regular work and non-regular work (evenings and weekends) schedule as needed.
- Excellent competency in computer (MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.) and presentation skills.

Education & Special Training
Essential
- Completion of tertiary qualifications in a business or related field such as Bachelor of Business, Management, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics and/or industry
specific qualifications.

Experience
Essential
- At least two years of experience in data analytics role.

Desirable
- Experience in the financial industry is a plus

Languages
Essential
- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) in both Myanmar and English languages.
