Job Purpose
To ensure continuous, safe, and cost-effective operation of all farm machinery, livestock facilities, utilities, and infrastructure by planning, implementing, and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance across agri & livestock operations.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment & Facility Maintenance
Manage maintenance of:
Livestock housing (poultry sheds, cattle barns)
Feed mill machinery (grinders, mixers, conveyors)
Water supply systems (boreholes, pumps, tanks, pipelines)
Electrical systems (transformers, panels, lighting)
Generators, solar systems, inverters
Cold rooms, chillers, freezers (if applicable)
Farm vehicles, tractors, loaders
Ensure minimal downtime of critical equipment.
2. Preventive Maintenance Planning
Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance Schedules (PMS).
Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and equipment history.
Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring.
Identify early signs of mechanical or electrical failure.
3. Breakdown & Emergency Response
Lead troubleshooting and emergency repairs.
Coordinate fast response for power failure, water outage, or equipment breakdown.
Liaise with external technicians and suppliers when required.
4. Utilities & Infrastructure Management
Oversee:
Power supply and backup systems
Water usage and efficiency
Waste management and drainage systems
Support biosecurity and hygiene standards through facility upkeep.
5. Team Management
Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance staff.
Assign daily tasks and monitor work quality.
Build basic maintenance skills among farm workers.
Enforce safety discipline on-site.
6. Spare Parts & Cost Control
Manage spare parts inventory and tools.
Forecast maintenance budget and control costs.
Source reliable local suppliers in Shan State / Myanmar.
Reduce maintenance costs through proper planning and standardization.
7. Safety, Compliance & Standards
Ensure compliance with:
Workplace safety standards
Electrical and mechanical safety regulations
Farm biosecurity requirements
Conduct safety drills and toolbox talks.
Ensure proper machine guarding and PPE usage.
8. Reporting & Coordination
Prepare weekly and monthly maintenance reports.
Report recurring issues and improvement recommendations.
