Role Purpose

The Managing Director (MD) is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall management of the company’s manufacturing and distribution operations within the electronics industry. This role ensures sustainable growth, operational excellence, strong financial performance, regulatory compliance, and effective market positioning.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute short- and long-term business strategies aligned with the Board’s vision and objectives.
• Drive business growth through market expansion, product diversification, and strategic partnerships.
• Lead digital transformation, automation, and innovation initiatives across manufacturing and distribution operations.

Operations & Manufacturing Management

• Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and cost control.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, environmental, and safety regulations).

Supply Chain & Distribution

• Lead supply chain strategy, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution networks.
• Optimize distribution channels to ensure timely delivery and high customer satisfaction.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate strategic contracts with key suppliers.

Financial & Commercial Management

• Ensure strong financial performance, profitability, and effective cash flow management.
• Approve budgets, forecasts, capital expenditure, and major investments.
• Drive pricing strategies, cost optimization, and revenue growth initiatives.

Sales, Marketing & Business Development

• Oversee sales and marketing strategies to strengthen brand presence and increase market share.
• Build strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and OEM partners.
• Identify and pursue new market opportunities locally and internationally.

People Leadership & Governance

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing executive leadership team.
• Ensure strong corporate governance, ethical standards, and effective risk management.
• Foster a performance-driven, safety-focused, and innovation-oriented culture.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary liaison with the Board, shareholders, regulators, and key external stakeholders.
• Represent the company in industry forums, government bodies, and strategic negotiations.

• Any bachelor’s degree and Master of Business Administration (MBA) or related postgraduate qualification is highly preferred.
• Minimum 15–20 years of progressive leadership experience in the electronics manufacturing and/or distribution industry.
• Proven experience as a Managing Director, CEO, General Manager, or in a similar senior management role.
• Strong exposure to manufacturing operations, supply chain management, and international distribution.
• In-depth understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and quality systems.
• Expertise in supply chain management, logistics, and distribution operations.
• Strong financial acumen with proven experience in P&L management.
• Excellent leadership, people management, and succession planning capabilities.
• Flexibility to travel for business purposes when necessary.
