Job Purpose

Payment Solution Specialists own the technical stability, testing, and compliance of our card networks and payment ecosystems. This role involves simulating production issues, running end-to-end UAT/Pre-Production testing, maintaining card scheme connectivity, and driving certifications like EMV and PCI-DSS to ensure seamless 24/7 transaction flows.

• Testing & UAT: Simulate issues and test cases in UAT/Pre-Production before production release. Support UAT for Issuing/Acquiring products updates and settlement process.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix issues across Card management systems and Payment Switch for Visa, MasterCard, MPU, CUP, and JCB. Provide immediate operational workarounds.

• Compliance & Security: Manage EMV Certifications (MasterCard, Visa, UPI, JCB), and quarterly Mandate from Payment Regulator

• Patch & Release Management: Test and deploy patches for CMS and Payment Switch’s requirements/fixes and card scheme compliance. Manage vendor releases and handle JIRA ticketing.

• Vendor & Support Operations: Provide system data/logs to external vendors for troubleshooting. Act as a daily operations support bridge for Technical Support and provide out-of-office hour support if required emergency. 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Knowledge in SQL scripting and relational database administration (Oracle, MS SQL, or PostgreSQL) for troubleshooting and reporting.

• Payment Protocols: Solid understanding of payment messaging standards (like ISO 8583)

• 3+ years of total IT/technical experience within a Bank, FinTech, or Payment Industry.

• Experience dealing with Payment Regulator like Visa, MasterCard, MPU, UPI, or JCB systems (including compliance testing and certifications).

• Experience in implementing the card management system and payment switch for new payment products enhancement and certification process with payment schemes.

• Flexible mindset to provide critical out-of-office hour production support as required.
