Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate with purchasing to ensure materials are arrived on time for production.
• Work with Production team/ Engineer/ Purchasing/ Sales/ Warehouse to ensure the work orders are completed on schedule.
• Monitor production progress and ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications.
• To coordinate & assist production dept in solving production problems & issues & enhance smooth process and delivery.
• To constantly look into methods & ways to cut production cost via BOM, materials cost & usage, labour process & production methods.
• Responsible for Bill of Material Calculation and Material Planning.
• Able to utilize ERP tool, and Microsoft office applications for the creation for BOM.
• Responsible for project costing.
• To be involved in engineering, and production process of company products, including preparation of drawings (2D & 3D), work instructions, preparation of BOM, budgeting and costing.
• To work with our consultant and team on the R&D project, including prototyping and testing.
• Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labour, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
• Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related result as needed.
• To ensure compliance our ISO9001 quality system and practice.
• Be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• To comply with company’s policy and systems.
• To assistant in other department when necessary and required.
• To be transferred to other departments if necessary
• To follow your Department Manager’s instruction with initiatives.
• Be able to work overtime as and when required, including Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holidays.

Experience & Qualification

• Minimum Diploma/Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience working in an Automotive, Manufacturing, Machine shop, assembly environment or similar environment.
• A thorough understanding of engineering design principles and material processing.
• Experience in Bill of Materials from either the Automotive, Aerospace or Retail industries.
• If you have considerable experience of the automotive industry in an engineering Release & Change environment is an advantage.
• If you understand automotive terminology, familiar with vehicle system & components and the sequence of build of a vehicle is an advantage.
• Proficient with Microsoft word, Excel, Power Point.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 or TS  16949 Quality Management System.
• Experience in ERP applications will be an added advantage.
