ROLE PURPOSE  

Risk Management Associate role will gain exposure across all areas of risk management, including liquidity risk, market risk, operational risk and all other risks. Through rotational assignments and on-the-job learning, the role is designed to build a strong foundation of knowledge, practical skills, and professional development in risk functions. This position is intended for the candidate to understand how risk is identified, assessed, monitored, and managed within a financial institution, while preparing him/her for future specialized or leadership roles in risk management. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Participate in a structured rotation program across different risk functions and understand the nature of risk management in financial institutions. 
• Assist in conducting risk assessments, monitoring, and reporting, especially in market risk, liquidity risk and operational risk, under the guidance of senior team members. 
• Support the preparation of risk analysis (data collection and entry), presentations and contribute to the development of risk policies, frameworks, and controls. 
• Build a strong understanding of the bank’s products, services, and operations, and provide valuable input to help identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks. 
• Engage in ongoing training, mentoring, and project-based assignments to develop practical risk management skills. 
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to understand how risk is managed within business processes. 

Education & Special Training  

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Accounting or related field (or) recognized risk certification. 

Experience 

• Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience. 

Knowledge & Skills  

• Passionate and willingness to continuous learning and development. 

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills who is good with numbers. 

• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills. 

• Intermediate to Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office. 

• A working level understanding of the Power BI tool is preferred. 

Languages 

• Good interpersonal and communication skills in Myanmar and English, both verbal and written.
