The Sales Cashier is responsible for providing friendly and efficient customer service, accurately handling pharmacy product sales, operating the POS system, and managing cash transactions while maintaining store inventory and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Sales:

  • Warmly greet customers and assist them in finding medications and healthcare products.

  • Dispense over-the-counter (OTC) products and process prescription sales in coordination with the Pharmacist.

• POS & Cashiering:

  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system (Cash, Mobile Banking, KBZPay, Credit/Debit Cards, etc.).

  • Balance the cash register and perform daily sales reconciliation at the end of each shift/day.

• Stock & Inventory Control:

  • Restock shelves and display units to ensure products are always available.

  • Monitor product expiration dates regularly and report near-expiry stock to management.

  • Assist in regular inventory counts and stock audits.

• Store Maintenance:

  • Keep the checkout area, pharmacy shelves, and sales floor clean, organized, and presentable.

• High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any field.

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cashier or Sales Assistant (Experience in a pharmacy or retail environment is highly preferred).

• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.

• Basic understanding of pharmaceuticals or healthcare products is an advantage.

• High level of accuracy, honesty, and attention to detail when handling cash.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric attitude.

• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to shift schedules.
