The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Dekkhinathiri, responsible for managing and overseeing day-to-day accounting operations. This role includes maintaining general ledgers, preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate month-end and year-end closing.

Here is what you will do:

• Accounting & Reconciliation: Post daily cash receipts, transfers, and credit payments to the general ledger with exceptional accuracy.
• Revenue Integrity: Partner cross-functionally with the Sales Admin department to audit transactional data and ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP/IFRS accounting standards.
• Month-End Close: Own the AR portion of the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and calculating bad debt reserves.
• Reporting & Analytics: Generate, analyze, and present weekly and monthly AR aging reports, cash flow forecasts, and DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) metrics to executive management.
• Audit Support: Maintain crystal-clean records and provide necessary schedules and documentation for both external and internal audits.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in general accounting, financial reporting, and ledger management, with the ability to oversee daily bookkeeping activities.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning and decision-making.
• Experience in accounts payable and receivable, cash flow management and reconciliation of bank.
• Comfort working with accounting software and ERP systems; strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a structured approach to deadlines and priorities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are an advantage.
• Experience in the agricultural or manufacturing sector is beneficial.
