Information capture and data gathering

  • Manage the team of specialists and analysts monitoring news outlets on a daily basis: verify the accuracy of data; delve deeper into incidents; identify trends and test some analysis
  • Manage the in-house database of incidents: coordinate data verification by analysts; identify trends

Production of security reports

  • Draft and send information flashes
  • Finalize Daily Security Reports
  • Contribute to the production of Weekly Security Reviews

Ad-hoc tasks

  • Under the instructions of the Head of Department, contribute to producing tailor-made risk assessments and due-diligence checks for our clients in any region of Myanmar

Other

  • Give presentations and security briefs to clients on an ad-hoc basis Provide Vanguard training to our subscribers

လိုအပ်သောအရည်အချင်း

  • Bachelor minimum, preferably in political sciences, international relations, conflict studies, media studies.
  • 5 years minimum in fields related to research and analysis
  • Strong command of security issues and geopolitical dynamics in Myanmar
  • Strong knowledge of media sector
  • Structured thought, objectivity and strong reporting skills
  • Ability to process and analyze diverse datasets
  • Solid computer skills: collaborative work tools, Excel, Word. Good command of GIS and graphic software will be a plus
  • Resourcefulness, initiative and leadership
  • Strong ability to work in a team
