Job Purpose
The Regional Sales Head (RSH) is responsible for providing excellent leadership, management, and guidance to line managers and sales teams across the region. The RSH ensures the achievement of targeted business goals, including subscriber growth, profitability, and brand visibility. The role requires strong motivation for sales, effective territory management, performance tracking, sales planning, and result-driven strategies to enhance market penetration and profitability. Key Responsibilities
1) Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet the business and subscriber targets for the region.
- Ensure regional alignment with the overall business strategy and planning processes.
- Enable execution of regional sales initiatives, ensuring compliance with company standards.
2) Customer Interfacing & Marketing:
- Oversee the development and execution of customer interfacing plans, marketing strategies, and marcom (marketing communication) activities within the region.
- Implement trade promotion plans to maximize market penetration and brand visibility.
3) Product Promotion & Launches:
- Lead the implementation of communication plans to ensure awareness of new product launches.
- Plan and execute business promotion schemes for the region’s product portfolio, ensuring appropriate product positioning and visibility in the market.
4) Business Planning & Coordination:
- Provide input for overall strategy and business planning.
- Act as a liaison between the regional team and the central team, ensuring smooth coordination of business operations.
- Ensure the region’s sales plans are aligned with the company’s business goals and objectives.
5) Team Leadership & Development:
- Motivate, lead, and guide line managers and sales teams to deliver high performance and meet sales objectives.
- Conduct performance tracking, regular appraisals, and provide development feedback to the sales team.
- Work with HR and other functions to develop and acquire the necessary skill sets within the team to meet regional business objectives.
6) Performance Management:
- Continuously track sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop performance management frameworks to ensure results-driven sales execution.
- Provide input to shared support functions, ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration.
7) Market Insights & Business Growth:
- Analyze regional market trends, consumer needs, and competitive activities to identify business growth opportunities.
- Ensure consistent market intelligence gathering to shape sales strategies and capitalize on market opportunities.
8) Profitability Management:
- Manage regional profitability by ensuring sales efficiency and cost-effective sales practices.
- Monitor revenue generation, expenses, and operational costs to maximize profitability.
