Job Purpose
We are hiring a Study Abroad Assistant to support our student counseling team by learning about international universities, programs, and admission processes. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals who are eager to grow into a Counseling Assistant and later a Junior Counselor.
You will undergo structured training to gain deep knowledge of study abroad destinations, program offerings, scholarship opportunities, and application procedures. Your role is critical in supporting prospective students and helping them make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities

Learn and retain accurate information about universities, programs, scholarships, and application steps across multiple countries

Assist counselors in following up with prospective students and keeping internal systems updated

Respond to student inquiries, explain basic program information, and coordinate appointments

Record and update student profiles and interactions with attention to detail

Join internal training sessions, participate in mock counseling, and complete knowledge assessments

Prepare counseling materials and assist in organizing webinars, events, and outreach activities

Maintain confidentiality of student records and application data

Communicate professionally with students, parents, and team members
-
Show a willingness to be trained, accept feedback, and progress toward a future counseling role
Working Conditions

Full-time, office-based role in Yangon
-
Must respond to internal messages and student follow-up requests within a few minutes during working hours, outside office hours, and on weekends

May be required to support education fairs or weekend events occasionally
-
Must commit to 16 months (4-month probation + 12-month confirmed period)

Must be open to career development into Counseling Assistant and Junior Counselor roles
📌 Special Condition for Mandalay Candidates
-
This position is based in Mandalay, but selected candidates must undergo 2 months of intensive training at the Yangon office before deployment.

Accommodation support during the training period in Yangon may be provided or discussed during the interview.

After training, candidates must commit to working at least 12 months in Mandalay (following probation).
-
Mandalay residents or those willing to relocate long-term will be given preference.
