Responsibilities:

Setting Up Products:

• Manage the system vendors (both existing & future technology partners) for the setting up of products within the Core Policy Admin System, i.e. TCS’ BaNCS accordingly. This requires alignment with the Business Consulting & Partnership (BCP) team in aligning system solutions with the business requirement specifications.
• Lead the Application Services team to ensure that
• Quality solutions are delivered within the agreed timeline
• Delivery of the system solutions which meet the stipulated business plan

System Enhancements:

• Ensuring that the team manage any Change Requests based on what has been articulated & signed off by the business owners, with the use of effective application change control processes.

Implementation of a new Digital Core Policy Admin System (Project Cicada):

• Develop the application developer resources to collaboratively participate in a joint-development with the vendor partner in the implementation of a Digital Core Policy Admin System.
• Ensure that the development resources are able to support the front-end support post-implementation.

Implementing new digital solutions based on roadmap:

• Supporting the deliverables, based on the agreed statement of work to ensure that the digital initiatives as stated in the technology / digital roadmap are implementation. Target for the knowledge transfer from the vendor partner, such that the ASM team would be self-sufficient to take over the system maintenance of these systems from the vendor.

Business As Usual Process:

• Ensures that the team
• Maintains the distributed databases, ensures high performance, and responds to requests from the end-users
• Troubleshoots and investigates help desk tickets submitted by end users which are application-related
• Provide the first level support for application related issues, for the future Core PAS & liaise with TCS for any support escalation
• Prepare application issue reports

Data Extraction:

• Support business users by extracting required data to be able to make business decision and to meet business goals
• Ad-hoc Reports (over JasperSoft):
• Support business users in producing ad-hoc reports for business decisions to meet strategic business needs. At the same time, ensuring that there is a proper maintenance of the report inventory & the reports are generated with the optimum output

• Master in Information Technology /Computer Science, though Bachelor degree holders with excellent academic achievements would be considered
• Over five-year experiences in IT Field, prefably within the insurance industry
• Has previous experience in leading a team of application developers
• Articulate and proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• A logical approach to problem solving;
• Very good knowledge in system analysis and design
• Good interpersonal skills with strong technical ability to manage system implementation and change control
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Knowledge of various personal and commercial lines of insurance products is an added advantage
