Liquidity & Cash Management 

• Execute liquidity and cash management, including forecasting and stress testing, for the country operations, in line with Group Treasury frameworks.
• Lead debt capital sourcing and financing transactions for the country operations, in close collaboration with the Group Treasury team (as per Target Operating Model).
• Maintain strong relationships with local, multilateral, regional and international lenders and banks that are (or could become) counterparties for the country operations. 
• Contribute to a well-functioning Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO), by ensuring high quality meeting materials and proactive participation in the ALCO meetings.

Capital Management

• Ensure smooth planning, coordination and execution of dividend payments to the parent company, by proactively aligning all stakeholders.

Global Treasury Strategy

• Implement global Treasury strategic initiatives, a.o. funding and lender mix optimization and the roll-out of a Treasury Management System (TMS).
• Implement financial and treasury policies and financial risk management frameworks for the country operations. Ensure accurate and timely reporting to Group Treasury.
• Drive and/or support strategic initiatives, including funding and deposit mobilization, and MFB (Microfinance Bank) license applications. 
• Provide strategic counsel to the country CFO and CEO on matters pertaining to balance sheet management and financial risks in a broader sense. 

Risk Management & Compliance 

• Ensure compliance with external requirements from regulators and lenders, a.o. capital adequacy maintenance and lender covenants. 
• Ensure compliance with internal Treasury Target Operating Model, policies and controls, a.o. on hedging, FX management.

OPERATING MODEL & INTERFACES

The Treasury Manager is part of the country CFO function, and reports into the Country CFO. This role has a dotted reporting line to the Group Head of Treasury (based in Amsterdam).

Key interfaces exist within the country CFO function, e.g., on budgeting/forecasting matters (with FP&A) and regulatory ratio computations (Accounting/Reporting team). Other key local stakeholders include, a.o. country ExCo, as well as business and operations teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Master's degree or professional certification preferred (ACT, CFA, CTP, ACCA, CPA)
• 5-10+ years of treasury, corporate finance, or banking experience.
• Understanding of local banking and/or MFI regulations
• Exposure to ERP and treasury management systems.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills
