What we do

BSY opened in August 2014, offering a high-quality international education to students in Early Years, Primary and Secondary up to Year 10, with provisions to expand year on year.
The school boasts more than 40 nationalities, making it a truly diverse setting in which to study and work. In December 2017 it joined the Nord Anglia Education family of schools, connecting students and staff in Nord Anglia schools across the world.

About the role: Are you able to demonstrate clear enthusiasm and passion for teaching and developing? Do you have high levels of professionalism in all that you do? If so, we would be delighted to hear from you. We are looking for an outstanding team player and Teaching Assistant to work under the guidance of the EYFS Team to support teaching staff in classes. As well as your teaching, you will also be expected to contribute positively to both the school’s pastoral systems and the extra-curricular programme, offering an Extra-Curricular Activity that either supports or extends the students’ learning in their subject area, or from another area of personal interest. Our Teaching Assistants play a key role in helping us to deliver an outstanding education to students at The British School Yangon. With your energy, enthusiasm and willingness to contribute across all aspects of school life, you will work closely with class and specialist teachers to plan, prepare and help deliver learning opportunities for students. About you: As a qualified Teaching Assistant, you will be a fluent English speaker and have experience of delivering the British curriculum. You will hold high expectations of both yourself and others and be committed to developing personalised, innovative and creative approaches to learning. You will be an excellent communicator, who works in partnership with colleagues, students and parents to create a learning environment that delivers educational excellence. You will be keen to contribute to the ongoing development of our curriculum and will be an effective professional with outstanding subject knowledge and at least two years’ teaching experience.
