Responsibilities and Duties Lead and perform maintenance activities for fiber networks, ODN networks, and backbone infrastructure. Diagnose and resolve network faults within the agreed Mean Time to Repair (MTTR). Coordinate with Field Engineers and Technicians during emergency restoration activities. Perform fiber testing using OTDR and other testing equipment to identify and rectify faults. Support customer installation, migration, and service restoration activities. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, outage reports, and corrective actions. Google Earth for route planning, network documentation, and infrastructure verification. Participate in standby and emergency response activities as required.

Monitor workforce utilization to optimize productivity and operational efficiency. Manage field tools, equipment, spare parts, and inventory requirements. Participate in budget planning and cost-control initiatives within the department.

Monitor network infrastructure, backbone links, and services 24x7. Detect, troubleshoot, and escalate network incidents and outages. Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams during outages. Monitor bandwidth utilization, latency, packet loss, and interface errors. Handle customer tickets and provide timely updates. Perform network health checks and preventive maintenance. Generate incident reports and daily operational reports. Support configuration changes during maintenance windows. Escalate critical incidents according to SLA procedures. Maintain operational documentation and troubleshooting records.
