Responsibilities: Procurement: Source and purchase materials, supplies, and services based on departmental needs and budgetary constraints. Evaluate potential vendors and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements. Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels. Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers. Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders, deliveries, or invoices. Monitor vendor performance and conduct periodic evaluations to ensure quality and reliability. Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to various departments, including handling correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining files and records. Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and track usage patterns to anticipate future needs. Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile stock levels and identify discrepancies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to purchasing, contracts, and vendor agreements. Sample Preparation: Prepare samples for analysis by following SOPs and protocols. This may include weighing, diluting, mixing, and other sample preparation techniques as required. Instrumentation Setup: Assist in setting up laboratory instruments and equipment required for sample processing and analysis. Ensure that all equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
