What we do

China Civil Engineering entered the Myanmar market in 1986, established the China Civil Engineering Myanmar Office in 2016, and established China Civil Engineering Group Myanmar Co., Ltd. in 2019. There are currently 18 Chinese managers and 49 Myanmar managers on duty. The company currently has 50 sets of equipment.

China Civil Engineering Myanmar Co., Ltd.'s business scope covers railways, roads, bridges, water affairs, housing construction and other fields. Since entering the Myanmar market, the branch has actively established stable contacts with government agencies such as the Ministry of Construction and has carried out extensive cooperation with local business partners. In the 1990s, it contracted and successfully handed over the Dingyin Bridge, which is the largest economic project assisted by China to Myanmar and the largest road-rail dual-use bridge in Southeast Asia.

In 2019, China Civil Engineering Group Myanmar Co., Ltd. returned to the Myanmar market after 26 years and successfully contracted the main bridge section project of the Korea-Myanmar Friendship (Dala) Bridge. The project is now under implementation and is also one of the few projects under construction by Chinese contractors in the Myanmar market. The project is currently progressing well and is expected to be handed over in 2025.
