What we do

Hetero Company is one of the world’s leading companies primarily engaged in the production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API).

In the pharmaceutical sector, Hetero has established its presence for more than 30 years. Hetero supplies 40% of the global demand for ARV FDFs required for the treatment of HIV and AIDS.

To meet the growing demand for various medicines in the market, Hetero operates 36 manufacturing facilities worldwide.

With the mission of creating a healthier world, Hetero produces 35 world-class oncology products, 9 biosimilar products, more than 400 pharmaceutical raw materials, and over 550 finished dosage formulations (FDFs).

Hetero also owns Asia’s largest pharmaceutical raw material manufacturing plant, which is located in Hyderabad, India.

In terms of its therapeutic portfolio, Hetero offers products across 17 therapeutic segments, including HIV, AIDS, Oncology, Cardiovascular, Hepatitis, Neurology, Biosimilars, and others, aiming to provide better healthcare services.

For global emergency situations, Hetero continuously strives to respond promptly and effectively.

For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Hetero was one of the first companies to obtain a license and manufacture Remdesivir under the brand name Covifor.

In the vaccine sector, Hetero collaborated with a Russian company and produced 100 million vaccine doses.

Regarding global presence, Hetero has established branch offices in 145 countries worldwide.

Branch offices are located across CIS countries, Europe, Africa, Asia, America, and Australia, and in some countries, the company also operates manufacturing plants.

Among these, 15 facilities manufacture pharmaceutical raw materials (API), while 21 facilities produce finished dosage formulations (FDF).

Hetero also has three world-class Research and Development (R&D) centers. The head office of Hetero is located in Hyderabad, India.

In Hetero Myanmar, there are three teams:

Hetero Virology – focusing on Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and ARV medicines

Hetero Spectra – covering Cardio Metabolic, Neurology, Psychiatry, and Gastrointestinal (GI) medicines

Hetero Oncology – focusing on cancer treatment products
