Job Summary A Geophysicist studies the Earth's physical properties using scientific methods and advanced technologies to locate natural resources, assess geological hazards, and support engineering and environmental projects. Key Responsibilities Conduct geophysical surveys using seismic, magnetic, gravity, electrical, and electromagnetic methods. Collect, process, and interpret geophysical data. Analyze subsurface structures for oil, gas, minerals, groundwater, or geothermal resources. Prepare geological and geophysical maps, models, and reports. We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Geologist Officer to lead our geological department and support the successful exploration, evaluation, and development of our mining operations. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee all geological exploration, resource definition, and mine geology activities. Develop and implement exploration strategies to identify and expand mineral resources and reserves. Manage geological mapping, drilling, sampling, logging, core handling, and interpretation of geological data. Supervise geological modeling, grade control, resource estimation, and reserve reporting. Ensure compliance with internationally recognized reporting standards (applicable local standards). Provide technical guidance to mine planning, engineering, and production teams to optimize ore extraction. Establish and maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures for exploration and production sampling.
