Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network-related issues, working closely with senior network engineers to identify root causes and implement solutions. Assist in the planning and implementation of network upgrades and expansions, ensuring minimal disruption to data center operations. Perform routine network maintenance tasks, such as firmware upgrades, patch management, and configuration backups. Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation. Review/approve Work Instructions/Login-Book procedures for Network Operations Centre/Command Centre. Work with operations lead to ensure smooth operations management and enhancement of service-wide infrastructure systems and services. Proactively respond to alarms to minimize any possible service outage. During service Degradation or Outage conditions promptly perform, all necessary actions to restore service as quickly as possible. Escalate as specified in the relevant procedures and handle the communication to the stakeholders. Monitor electrical systems such as cooling units, main distribution board, UPS system, Fire alarm system.
Responsible for the managing, implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance and documentation of several of the following disciplines; Perform system activities check, health monitoring and troubleshooting of systems infrastructure including Databases (such as MSSQL) and Application systems (such as ERP/Ogsys systems) Need to install and configure Servers and Raid devices on a Storage Area Network environment Work together with the third-party application support team to ensure the systems are running efficiently.
