Job Summary: The Preschool Assistant Teacher supports the lead/class teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for children aged 3 to 5. This role involves assisting with daily activities, helping children develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills, and ensuring their well-being throughout the day. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Class teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities. Support children in daily routines including arrival, meals, toileting, playtime, and dismissal. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure safety and positive interactions. Promote respectful communication and social development among children. Prepare and organize learning materials as instructed by the lead teacher. Provide individual support to children who need extra help. Observe and report children’s progress or concerns to the lead teacher. Assist with classroom documentation and display of children’s work. Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher events as required.
