What we do

Myanmar Agribusiness Public Corporation Limited (MAPCO) is a wholly owned, non-government Public Corporation, established in August 2012. MAPCO is formed to mobilize public savings and to foster broader investments in the agriculture and other agro-based industries in Myanmar. MAPCO is founded in
response to the growing demand for a corporation to lead the private sector of Myanmar's agribusiness industries. Using market-based approaches and strategies as well as working in partnership with all the stakeholders from the farmers to the exporters, MAPCO promotes sustainability and profitability in the interest of national food security and rapid economic development. MAPCO works closely with the Government of the Republic of Union of Myanmar to set up and invest not only in modern rice mills and warehousing facilities in order to improve Myanmar’s rice industry, but also on infrastructure projects to help alleviate poverty through business activities within the rural communities.
