WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE The role will be responsible for ensuring the assigned Maker machine operates in good condition with the set efficiency and speed by conducting regular cleaning and performing troubleshooting & problem-solving to resolve machine stoppages under supervision. Deliver finished products in a timely manner with good quality, low cigarette rejects and low cost. WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES Perform minor troubleshooting at the assigned Maker Machine to eliminate the minor and regular operational issues with supervision. Ensure the assigned machine is cleaned in routine as per the provided cleaning checklist, DDS directions and deep cleaning activities are to be carried out upon completion of production orders with supervision. Strictly follow the brand change procedures and ensure all the materials are used accurately at the machine according to the product specification, with supervision. Operate the machine at set efficiency and deliver finished goods with good quality, low rejection and low cost with supervision to ensure zero out of stock. Perform regular quality checking procedures provided by the Quality Department. Fulfil yearly set KPIs related to EEHS, Manufacturing, Production, Engineering and Quality. This role is responsible for planning the procurement of Tobacco (Cutfiller) and Non-Tobacco Materials (NTM) for production, ensuring timely delivery without disrupting manufacturing schedules. This role also requires close coordination to manage material shelf life, import license (IL) availability, and SAP IBP/BW processes. The Material Planner also handles claims processing and ensures accurate data for IL preparation. Effective communication with internal teams and suppliers is critical. As the Materials Planner, you will: Planning, Forecasting & Master data Plan the procurement of Cutfiller and NTM in accordance with the MRP Standard Procedure, ensuring timely material availability for uninterrupted production. Ensure monthly material forecasts are shared with suppliers in line with defined timelines and that supply plans are aligned accordingly. Maintain and update material master data in SAP as per global standards for new and existing materials. Prepare and validate material-related data required for Import License (IL) applications, a regulatory requirement specific in Myanmar, ensuring data accuracy and timely submission to prevent issues or delays in the import process. Ensure completion of all SAP IBP/BW-related planning tasks in line with the global monthly planning calendar. Ordering & Cost Optimization ​​​​​​​ Ensure timely ordering of Cutfiller and NTM in alignment with production plans and supplier timelines. Prioritize purchase price variance (PPV) lot sizes to reduce cost deviations, except for phase-out materials requiring close monitoring. Evaluate container space utilization for imported materials, balancing cost efficiency against write-off risks. In case of delay via sea freight, assess the need for air freight, obtain prior cost approval from relevant stakeholders, and ensure contingency plans are in place. Inventory Management and Shipment Tracking ​​​​​​​ Maintain optimal inventory levels across all material categories to ensure sufficient safety stock and prevent shelf-life expiry (SLED) issues. Monitor shipment lead times and coordinate closely with suppliers, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure on-time delivery of both imported and local materials. Proactively track estimated time of arrival (ETA) and actual delivery against production requirements, resolving any discrepancies to avoid disruptions. Monitoring & Compliance ​​​​​​​Collaborate with Import/Export team to ensure timely availability of import licenses before shipment departures.
