What we do

Myanmar Wanbao Mining Copper Limited (“MWMCL” for short), established in September 2010 in Myanmar, is wholly-funded by Wanbao Mining Limited, a mining company headquartered in Beijing, China, for construction, development and operation of the Letpadaung copper project situated in the south of Sagaing Region, Myanmar. The project boasts the largest copper project in Asia using heap leaching and solvent extraction/electrical winning technology with investment volume totaling over 1 billion US dollars. With the construction of the major projects completed in March 2016, the Letpadaung copper project commenced its trial production with the first copper produced on March 11, 2016.
It is expected to produce 100,000 tons of copper per annum in full capacity in 2018 with 30 years of life of mine (LOM).
