New A1 is a processor and a trader of onions and chili, was established in Myittha, Mandalay in 1982 and registered as a company in 2013. New A1 has been trading chili, onions, and other processed spices and culinary products for over 40 years under the name of A1 Family broker’s sale center. The company has good reputation and positive image in this line of business till today.
The business established a factory in Kume in 2018 for production of premium quality pure and fresh chili powder, turmeric powder, other culinary crops and spices with international food safety standards. Now, over 20 products are being produced for both domestic and foreign markets. It aims to assist middle-class and working-class people in Myanmar to have access to healthy cooking products to prevent non-communicable diseases (NCDs), which account for 68% of all deaths in Myanmar. NCDs include hypertension, diabetes, etc.
To care about the health of Myanmar consumers, New A1 is providing healthful, aflatoxin free, chemical free, with no additive and no preservative chili and turmeric powder and other culinary products with affordable prices.
New A1 buys the onions and chili from Kumae, Myittha, Kyauksae, Mekhitla, Pyawphwe, Myingyan, Hinthada, Salin and Maupin townships of Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwaddy regions and Shan State. It also has collection and storage trading branches in Meikhtila, Pyawphwe, Myingyan, Kumae, Yaewoon, Salin and Myittha.
New A1 distributes its processed products mainly in Yangon and Mandalay through own distribution branches and to premium market such as Makro, City Mart, Capital, and Sein Gayhar.
New A1 also received HALAL certificate, recommendation for food manufacturing from the Ministry of Health, Department of Food and Drug Administration (FDA), HACCP certificate, GMP certificate (quality management), and ISO 22000:2018 certificate on Food Safety Management System from the Control Union.

1. Sales & Channel Strategy Execution Territory Expansion: Drive sales revenue and market share targets for chili powder, turmeric powder, chili pastes, and culinary spices across all Lower Myanmar territories. Channel Distribution: Expand distribution coverage across Traditional Trade (wholesale hubs , retail shops, wet markets), Modern Trade (City Mart, Ocean, Sein Gay Par, hypermarkets), and HORECA / B2B (restaurants, tea shops, food chains, catering companies). Distributor & Dealer Management: Identify, onboard, and manage regional distributors/wholesalers in secondary hubs (Bago, Mawlamyine, Pathein, Pyay), setting sales targets and monitoring inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking. 2. Marketing & Brand Activation Trade Marketing & In-Store Promotions: Plan and execute trade promotions, display visibility (POSM, shelf-space placement in modern trade), and localized sampling campaigns at wet markets and supermarkets. HORECA Activation: Execute targeted bulk-pack sampling programs for commercial kitchens, restaurants, and food manufacturers to secure bulk culinary spice contracts. Consumer Campaign Management: Collaborate with digital marketing and agency partners to create regional consumer activations, cooking show sponsorships, and festive campaigns (e.g., Thingyan, Thadingyut season demand spikes). 3. Team Leadership & Field Management Sales Team Management: Lead, mentor, and evaluate Area Sales Officers (ASOs) and field sales executives across Lower Myanmar. Route-to-Market (RTM) Optimization: Establish clear coverage routes, beat plans, and daily sales call schedules for the field team to ensure optimal outlet visit rates. 4. Forecasting, Market Intelligence & Reporting Demand Forecasting: Partner with the Factory Manager and Supply Chain team to provide accurate monthly/quarterly sales forecasts for dry powders vs. wet paste product lines to optimize production scheduling. Competitor Intelligence: Continuously monitor competitor pricing, trade schemes, packaging changes, and market entry of local or imported spice and paste brands. Budget & Performance Reporting: Manage the regional sales and promotional budget and deliver regular performance reports to senior executive management.
1. Operations & Production Management Production Oversight: Plan, direct, and execute daily manufacturing operations for chili powder (dry processing/milling) and chili paste (wet processing/cooking/packaging) lines to meet volume and delivery targets. Process Optimization: Optimize yield and output while minimizing raw material wastage, rework, and operational downtime. Maintenance & Facilities: Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance schedules for milling, grinding, mixing, pasteurization, and packaging machinery. 2. Food Safety, Quality Control & Compliance Quality Assurance: Partner with QC/QA to maintain strict quality, moisture, color, particle size, and viscosity standards for all raw chilies and finished products. Hygiene & Safety: Enforce strict food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO) and ensure compliance with workplace health and environmental regulations, with specific attention to dust control and allergen/airborne capsaicin management. 3. Supply Chain & Cost Management Material Management: Coordinate with Procurement and Warehouse teams to ensure a consistent pipeline of raw materials (dry/fresh chilies, oils, spices, packaging materials) and minimize stockouts or inventory degradation. Budget & Cost Control: Manage plant operational budgets, monitor utility and labor costs, and implement process improvements to boost efficiency. 4. Leadership & Workforce Management Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor department heads, supervisors, and factory floor staff to foster a high-performance and safety-first culture. Resource Allocation: Manage shift scheduling, manpower allocation, and labor relations to ensure smooth multi-line operations. Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational performance reports for senior executive management.
